Top 10 Books for Preschoolers

  Please join us with the Top Ten Holiday Lists gift guides as we share with you our favorite books, games, building toys, pretend play toys, crafting supplies/kits, and non-food stocking stuffers! Preschoolers love silly and I kept that in mind when compiling this list. 

1. Llama Llama Red Pajama {Anna Dewdney} - or any of the Llama Llama books. I love the rhyming and the relatable emotions little Llama Llama goes through.
   
2. 15 Animals {Sandra Boynton} - A lot of animals named Bob...and a surprise ending. 
   
3. Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late! {Mo Willems} - or any of the Pigeon books. Pigeon goes through a whole range of emotions, which makes reading the book fun too!
   
4. Press Here {Herve Tullet} - an interactive book? It's possible! Story Snug wrote an excellent review that described it as "more (of) an interactive game book."
   
5. I Love to Dream {Kenneth Pollin} - I had an opportunity to review this book. A perfect bedtime story.
   
6. Rhyming Dust Bunnies {Jan Thomas}- we've taken this book out of the library so many times I can't count. A fun, funny book for kids (and adults!)
   
7. Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type {Doreen Cronin} - Another cute, funny title. The cows have demands and won't give the farmer any milk until those demands are met. 
   
8. A Ball for Daisy {Chris Raschka}- This story is told entirely through the pictures, but the illustrations are so great no words are needed to depict the story of a dog who loses his ball. (Don't worry, there's a happy ending!)
   
9. Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons {James Dean} - a fun read with math skills, too? That's one groovy book.
   
10. Good Night Gorilla {Peggy Rathmann} - A cute story about nighttime at the zoo.
