Boo Bags - A Random Act of Halloween Kindness

Have you ever been "BOO'ed"? (Don't worry, it's a good thing!) We recently gave this random act of kindness a try and I think we have a new Halloween tradition on our hands!

A random act of Halloween kindness for less than $5!

I've been seeing these "You've been BOO'ed!" random kindness ideas and I just love them! But most of the printables have one thing I wasn't looking for; they all seemed to say something about how the recipient should now "BOO" two or more people to keep the chain going. Now I'm all for a thread of kindness, but I wanted to give a surprise, not an obligation. So I made a few tweaks when drawing up my own free printable. And now I can't wait to share it with you!

We've been working on random kindness in the Craig house more and more lately. Kay is almost a "tween" (Heaven help me!) and needs a reminder about the importance of giving more than ever. But it's more than just that - we all need this reminder, myself included. So this was another fun way to make kindness a part of our day.

    Supplies:
&#9642 Mini treat bags (we got ours from Oriental Trading but these ones
these ones are similar)
    &#9642 Cardstock
    &#9642 Glue stick

    &#9642 Printable tags
    &#9642 Goodies!

I found these little party favor bags from Kay's Little Pony birthday last year. I only had 4 left, so just right for something like this. Fortunately, the colors I had left were orange (perfect!) and yellow (close enough!).

I used my Cricut machine to cut out a cut little Jack-'o-Lantern face, as well as the word "BOO!" out of black cardstock, and then glued everything on with a glue stick.

Then came the fun part - adding the tags and filling up the bags with goodies! I used these printable tags I made up (I kinda love the chevron background in Halloween colors!) and cut them out with what I call "fancy scissors" - the ones with the fun edges. Here's a little secret - I like using these scissors because I can't cut a straight like to save my life and these scissors make the imperfections less noticeable and even part of the charm!

We filled up the bags with candy from the dollar store, which they have in abundance, especially this time of year. (Hey, kindness doesn't have to be costly!) Some lollipops, Hershey Kisses, mini chocolate bars, plastic Halloween rings and glow sticks will hopefully bring a smile to any age person who finds this at their doorstep.

Random kindness for neighbors and friends family kids easy idea

For less than $5 dollars, we had these bags ready to go and spread a little Halloween kindness around the neighborhood. And I already can't wait to do it again next year! Might have to come up with Thanksgiving version...Hmmm...
