You know those plastic pumpkins that become ubiquitous around this time of the year? You can get them at most stores for about $1, and kids are perfectly happy with them. (It's what's going inside that they're mainly concerned about anyway!)
But what if you could take that plastic pumpkin bucket that half the neighbor is likely going to have, and transform it into something uniquely your own? Bonus points if you could do it quickly and easily, right?

I've scoured the internet and found some mega-creative bloggers sharing some very cool ideas of how they transformed that bucket from "meh" to "Wow!" I was inspired enough to go searching through the shed for our own buckets (and there's spiders in there <shiver>!)
Check these ones out...
- Well, these are awesome! Turn your bucket into a glow-in-the-dark with duct tape! {Creative With Kids}
- Some Halloween fabric, a bit of Mod Podge, and you're good to go! {SheKnows}
- Grab a glue gun and add some spiders to your bucket - just spooky enough for younger kids! {Little Wonders Days}
- Wrap up your own mummy (kids will love helping with this one!) For an even quicker option, just glue on some googly eyes. (I believe googly eyes and/or glitter can make anything better!) {DIY Inspired}
- Quick personalization touch-up with Sharpie paint pens {2 Giggle Boxes}
- This one looks like it would take a lot of work, but it's really only spray paint and glitter than produces the awesome finished product! {Eddie Ross}
- Really ready to put your creativity to work? Try this glammed-up version! {A Glimpse Inside}
- These options are for the more crafty among us. This one takes a steady hand but it certainly comes out adorable (I loveMike Wazowski!) {The Pinning Mama}
- "Eat more candy" - every child's goal on Halloween night! {3 Little Greenwoods}
These two are my favorite, because they're doable no matter what your craft skill level (or lack thereof) consists of!
- A felt mask turns a green pumpkin into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle {Save More Spend Less with Heidi}
- Arghh! There's even a way to makeover your pumpkin into a pirate. If you're in a hurry just the eye patch would be a great touch! {See Vanessa Craft}
Have you ever added any accessories to your trick-or-treat buckets? I'd love to hear about them!
