"Who Loves Me?" Personalized Book

  I was excited to review a book from I See Me!, which makes personalized books for kids. All children love their own name, and seeing it in print, in a book, is exciting. I had a feeling Kay would like it.

  We sat down to read it - me on the floor, her in her bean bag chair, and looked at the title together. I pointed out the words and read out, "Who...Loves...and what's that word?" "You?" She guessed randomly. "Look at the letters. You know what sound that letter makes," as I pointed to the K. "Kay!" she exclaimed and her face lighted up. Okay, so far so good. 
  I started reading. In this particular version you can add loved one's names right into the story as well. For example, "Who loves Kay? Daddy loves Kay! How much? So much!" It's a nice touch that makes it even more personalized. (You can see all the pages of this book online at ISeeMe.com.)

As I read a couple of pages she climbed into my lap to read more, waiting for each page to turn to see who would love her "so much!" At the end she ever-so-sweetly said, "Do you know how much I love you? Bigger than the world!" Awww! 

  What I didn't expect from this book was the spare but poetic words that left me almost teary-eyed at times (okay, so I'm sentimental!). For example, she's loved "More than the galaxy, More than the moon, More than the nightingale singing his tune."  The illustrations are beautiful and gender-neutral, and would look just as lovely hanging on the bedroom wall as they do on the pages of the story.

   Kay has received a book with her name in it before from another company, as a gift, and it was a half-hearted effort at best. It sits in the bookshelf, untouched, unread. Her "Who Loves Kay?" book has already been requested and re-read several times. (I almost know it by heart now!) 
  I have already recommended these books to family members. They make unique gifts and will be treasured as keepsakes. 
    But I'll offer this warning: be ready to read it over and over again!

    Looking through the I See Me! website, I found they have a wide assortment of personalized gifts beyond books. They now have lunchboxes and puzzles, coloring books and place mats, as well as gift sets and stickers  - all personalized with a special name. Whatever the child you're buying for is interested in, whatever their style, chances are good you'll find something they'll love here.
