We made a bird feeder with pipe cleaners and Cheerios (okay, store-brand Cheerios). Kay strung them on, munching all along, and I strung some on, too, and then twisted them together while she finished the leftovers. We hung it in a tree and waited for the birds, but didn't see anything. The next day, rain. So whoever comes to our feeder is going to find some soggy cereal. But I'm not worried. Our wonderful neighborhood squirrels will eat pretty much anything, so I know they won't go to waste!
