I love finding different ways to make art and milk bubbles seemed right up
my alley. Kay loves blowing bubbles with her straw (don't all kids?!) so I
thought she'd love this. I was partly right.

thought she'd love this. I was partly right.
I poured some milk in a cup and let her pick the food coloring colors to use (green and yellow). I put in a few drops, so she wouldn't stain her fingers (and she would have) and then gave her the straw. I told her she could blow bubbles and she didn't wait to be told twice.
I had the paper waiting patiently nearby, and when the milk was, well, bubbly enough, I showed her how to lay the paper over the bubbles. Maybe it wasn't colorful enough or whatever, but she wasn't at all interested in the art. Just the bubbles. So after a few tries, I let her just blow the bubbles, just for fun. (Note: I was very glad I had remembered to cover the table with newspaper!)
