I get more inspiration from the Oriental Trading catalog than I care to admit. This little craft stick bunny is a case in point!
The catalog sells craft kits with all you need to make these cuties, but with a little adjusting we managed to make our own with what we already have (love when things work out that way!).
Supplies:
- Mini craft sticks
- White acrylic paint
- Craft foam (pink and white)
- Googly eyes
- Black fine point marker
We started off by painting the sticks. Since they were mini craft sticks, instead of the full-size ones, it only took half as long. Having to paint only one side helped too. (Hey, no one's going to be looking at the back, anyway!)
Gluing craft sticks together is tedious under the best of circumstances, but we put a line of glue and stuck the sticks together. (Of course, you could always use our old "cheating" stand-by - just tape them together!) When it dried, we could get to the good part - the face!

His nose (excuse me, *her* nose, as I was told) is just an oval cut from pink craft foam. I drew on the mouth with a fine-tipped Sharpie. Of course, googly eyes were needed, too. (In our crafts, googly eyes are almost always needed!)
But you can't have a bunny without some big ears. These ones are cut freehand (perhaps you can't tell...) and glued those on.
Such a quick craft to come out so cute!
