As soon as I saw these awesome beads I had this project floating in my mind. It's not complicated, but it comes out pretty and all that gluing and bead-placing is great for fine motor skills!
Supplies:
- Small colorful beads (from our friends at CraftProjectIdeas.com - thank you!)
- Glue
- Heavy paper
It's almost too simple to explain. Glue a word, a letter or a design on paper and then cover it with beads or gems. I chose the simple word "LOVE".
Kay wanted to write a whole message, which, while very sweet (love this kid!) wasn't really ideal for this kind of thing. It took her extra long, but she kept at it.
Her message? "Mom I love you". (Awww!)

I was even pretty surprised that when the pictures were dried, the beads didn't flake off. Next up: doing this with glitter (but *that* will be an outside project!)
I'm finally back with the Fine Motor Friday gang! Check out what they've been up to this week - and you can always keep up with the latest and greatest on Pinterest.
