I love gifts that kids can make. I think it's such a meaningful addition to the holiday when they can really feel pride and accomplishment about their gift. It's more exciting, too, for them to give a gift of their own design rather than saying, "Here, you got a necklace for Aunt Marge. Go give it to her please." Which would you feel more thrilled about?
That said, there are only certain people who can appreciate the, um, unique gifts that a toddler or preschooler can make. While I would wear that pasta necklace would pride, not everyone feels the same! Fortunately, there are some ideas out there that kids can do AND the receiver will be proud to use or display. Here's some easy-but-awesome ones that I found:
Chevron-style towel | B-Inspired Mama made a towel but you could do just about anything using this technique - I'm thinking tote bag, apron, even a journal for a teen...whatever you can personalize!
Enameled spoons | Moms and Crafters
Enameled spoons | Moms and Crafters
Bracelet craft | Buggy and Buddy - These beads are beautiful on their own, and then they embellished them a bit with a Sharpie!
Washer jewelry | One Mama's Daily Drama - I think these are pretty stylish. My sister would wear one - and she's super-picky!
What do your kids like to make as gifts?
