We've reached the last day of our 12 Days of Christmas series, with...12 drummers drumming!
Make your own drum from the recycling bin!
Boy, twelve drummers...that must have been pretty loud. And here I complain about one kindergartener drumming!

When thinking about what activity to do for this series, it was easy to think of this one first; Kay loves to drum on everything. It just fit perfectly.

So we made our own little upcycled drum, fancying it up a little for the holidays, of course.

Using an empty raisin container from the recycle bin, I wrapped glittery craft foam around the sides. Add a ribbon and we were done. Pretty impressed with my "fancy" drum, I didn't notice when Kay went back out to rummage in the recycling bin and came back with an armful of other containers, which she set down and instantly started drumming on. Apparently she doesn't care if it has glittery craft foam or not - if it makes noise, it's a drum!

What other ways can you make your own drum?
