This month's theme for Poppin's Book Nook was To the Kitchen and our choice of a book was easy. We already had it in our bookcase and have read it countless times - (affiliate link) Curious George and the Pizza Party.
I personally think Kay has always liked the flour-y mess George makes in the kitchen. We would most certainly not be reenacting that part.
But the pizza part we could do.

We used cookie cutters to turn English muffins into fun shapes. Then I let Kay do the fun stuff - speading on the sauce, sprinkling on the cheese (and tasting some, too, of course!) - and then adding a little more cheese, just for good luck.
We put them in the oven until the edges were a golden brown - reading the book again while we waited, of course! - and then had our selves a yummy lunch of our very own pizza.
P. S. Yes, Kay was in her pajamas...at lunchtime. It was one of those days!
