I made these simple alphabet puzzles for Kay. Using index cards, I cut each in half, trying to use a different design each time. Then I wrote letters on them - the uppercase on one side, lowercase on the other. The goal was for her to match the uppercase and lowercase letters together, for some letter recognition practice. The idea was that if she got stuck, she could just match up the ends to see what fit.
And I must say that when we tried it, I was surprised how many she was able to match up. Now whether she was using the pattern to match them or actually matching the letters, I don't know. Either way, I think she enjoyed them.
