Is it too late for leaf crafts? Nah, never too late!
This is one of those super easy crafts that I so love. The fact that it helps with fine motor skills, too, is just a happy bonus!
We used:
- Craft foam (construction paper would work just as well)
- Gems (ours came from OrientalTrading.com)
- Glitter glue (courtesy of CraftProjectIdeas.com)
Pretty self-explainatory, but bear with me. I cut out some leaf-y shapes ahead of time, in autumn colors (to go with the season, of course!). Then I scrounged around in the craft supplies to find something to decorate them with and came up the lovely jewels that were just perfect.
Between squeezing on the glitter glue and placing those gems in place, this is a wonderful fine motor activity. I also love that there is no wrong way to do it - it's going to look lovely no matter what unique design you add.
