Have you ever painted...with magnets? With a new magnet kit at our disposal, and Kay's love of all things magnetic, I wanted to try this science and art combo.
Her magnet set (include link!) came with a magnet wand and a magnetic ball. I found the perfect box for this and gathered some paints (washable - always washable!)
I explained it to Kay as that it was like themarble painting we did previously, but this time instead of just rolling the ball around by moving the box, she could move the ball with the magnet wand. Intrigued, she gave it a try, squeezing on the (globs) of paint and trying to move the ball.
It worked and held her attention for a few minutes.
Then she put the magnet wand down, picked up the box, and rolled it around. "I like it this way better!" she said by way of explanation. Alright.
So while painting with the magnet is cool in concept, Kay was more interested in trying to roll the ball through her (globs of) paint.
