So, it's summer. Does that mean our brains just turn off? Nope (though it can feel that way sometimes!). In fact, there are so many fun ideas for learning in the summer that (shh!) your kids might not even notice they're learning.
If kids spend 2 months without at least reviewing some of the words they learned over the year, they're likely to forget them. So keep their mind sharp with these sight word games (all of which can also be used to alphabets, letters or longer words!).
- Scavenger hunt {Sugar Aunts}
- Basketball {Toddler Approved}
- Soccer {Coffee Cups and Crayons}
- Bowling {Make Take Teach}
- Water balloons {Royal Baloo}
- Diving - great for those hot days! {I Can Teach My Child}
- Hopscotch {3 Dinosaurs}
- Bingo - I like how I Can Teach My Child made her own, but if you're looking for a printable Education.com has some colorful ones
- Car races {P is for Preschooler}
- Stomp {Coffee Cups and Crayons - she has lots of great active learning ideas!)
- Marble bowling alley {Stories and Children used it for letter sounds but it would make a great sight words game as well!}
