I saw this idea several blogs and wanted to try it (and add it to one more blog - mine. I'm nothing if not unoriginal!) Kay loves playing with those plastic Easter eggs. We'll put in pieces of cereal or goldfish crackers and then I hide them around the house for her to find. (Come Easter, she is going to be a pro!)
So with our overflowing supply of Easter eggs, I took some to make this letter matching activity. I wrote the upper case letter on the top half of the egg, and the lowercase letter on the bottom with permanent marker. The idea is to match up the two. I didn't put all the eggs out at once, because I thought that might be overwhelming, so I started with just a few and added a few more when I saw she had no problem.
She enjoyed it, as she enjoys anything that has to do with playing with those Easter eggs!
A Frugal Friend is one of the other blogs that mentions this activity. And Playing House in Maryland has even more learning games using plastic eggs (I have a feeling we'll be trying some of these in the future!)

There are so many ways to play and learn with plastic eggs. Let's share them! Add your post about using plastic eggs to the linky below, hosted by Little Bins for Little Hands, who are also sharing Our Favorite Plastic Egg Activities. I look forward to seeing your ideas!
