Disclosure: We received a free box from Citrus Lane for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own. Your box would differ from the one shown below.
Citrus Lane is a subscription service where each month you receive a box of 4-5 age-appropriate products for your 0-5 year old. These can include toys, books, snacks, household and body care products and maybe even an occasional treat for parents (hey, we deserve something too!).
Each box has a retail value of at least $29, which is the cost of a month-to-month subscription. (Purchasing multiple months at a time will get you a discount!)
In addition, Citrus Lane hosts an active parenting community online, providing support and guides (plus some contests and giveaways!). There is also the Citrus Lane Shop, where you can purchase their high quality products individually, even if you don't want to become a subscriber and go the monthly route.

What we thought. . .
We received a set of Faber-Castell DuoTip markers, 2 Faber-Castell doodling pads, Mommy's Bliss Kids sugar-free medicine for upset tummies, and a toy fruit set that you can "cut" with a knife.
Kay had a blast with the fruit, each of which has 2 halves connected with Velcro, making a satisfying crunch when you use the pretend knife to cut it. These are high-quality, wooden toys from Plan Toys that are safe to play with and could withstand some rough usage. She enjoyed them, even while she said, "These are good for babies. Babies would like them."
The doodle pads and markers were perfect for my little scribbler, who loves to practice writing or sometimes just pretending to write, while she does her self-imposed "homework".
The medicine, which I planned to put away until we needed it, was also something she was intrigued with. She used every trick she could think of to make me think she had an upset tummy so she could taste it - laying in bed, making herself dizzy. I told her that taking medicine when she didn't need it could make her sick. "And then I'd need it!" she exclaimed. Oh, dear!

I think a lot of the fun of this program is the anticipation of a new box each month, and of course, for preschoolers, getting their own mail! The fact that the toys or books your receive are individualized to your child's age and come from such reputable companies is something parents can get behind too!
