By coincidence, we had taken out the book "Olivia" by Ian Falconer from the library just before I came across a fun-looking art activity to go with it. So, taking our inspiration from Creekside Learning's website (http://www.makeandtakes.com/storybook-summer-olivia-with-creekside-learning), we read the story (again!) and got to work making our own version of the Jackson Pollock painting featured in the story. (Olivia says she could do that one "in about five minutes.")

Definitely an outside activity. But the splatter paint part especially was a lot of fun. (We both liked it!)
