I've seen the painting with ice cubes activity on the internet here and there and wanted to give it a try. I did ours a bit different. I didn't use water - just had Kay pour some paint into the ice cube tray. (We used plain old Crayola Washable Kids Paints and it worked just fine.) |

We let them sit a few hours, and then brought everything outside to get to work. I thought it was really cool. To be honest, I was more impressed than she was! We found a stick in the yard and used it to push the ice cubes around a bit.

In the end, our masterpiece (with some stray seeds sprinkled on for a finishing touch)! We hung it up in Daddy's garage as a surprise.
