I'm all about the easy. I love the sensory bins that are super simple (and super cheap too). This construction sensory activity surely fit the bill. Using Kay's sand table, I added a few construction trucks from the dollar store. I have been looking for these little trucks everywhere and I was excited to have finally found them.
She happily scooped and dumped and pushed sand into mountains. In fact, I had added a few other little things - little dinosaurs, a marble, a fake jewel, and some sand toys were nearby. But she was totally focused on those trucks! I mentioned at one point that these were construction trucks and she didn't know that word. So there was learning involved too. Bonus!
