Kay loved this book for two reasons - first, the words were simple enough that she learned them quickly (especially since we read it so often, per her request!) that she was then able to "read" to me. And later, when she'd be playing with a box, she'd want to act out the story, with her saying the "It's not a box" part.

I take a largely hands-off approach when it comes to Kay and her cardboard box creations. Mostly because I'm not creative enough to come up with any ideas! And because she manages well all on her own.
