Leaf Confetti

Leaf confetti is one of my favorite fall crafts. It's fun to crumble the leaves and I just like the way the finished product looks, too. Kay and I found some crunchy leaves and crumbled them up, taking out the stems. She helped with this part, even though mostly she just wanted to throw it in the air and say, "Happy Grandparents Day!" (lol!) Eventually we had enough to work with.
She squeezed glue onto heavy cardboard (I used empty cereal boxes) and then sprinkled the leaves over the glue. She was careful and diligent - so unlike her usual self!
While we left them set on a table to dry, a wind came and blew one of them across the yard. I ran over and grabbed it  while she cried, "But I worked so hard on it!" I showed her there was no damage done and she seemed satisfied.
So we ended up with two wonderfully leafy works of art! (Wonderful to this mama's eyes, at least!:)
