In parenting, there are some times where you just step back, impressed with what your child knows. Kay has a natural affinity to all things S.T.E.M.-related and she pretty much surpasses me in logic games and building things. (Not "pretty much", more like "completely"!)

Games like Pattern Play 3D are ones she's great at.

This game gives you cards with different designs and you have to recreate them with the provided blocks. It's kind of like tangrams, but 3-dimensional. It's a great creative thinking activity and challenging enough that she stayed interested in it. I love the structures that were created with the colorful blocks!
My favorite part - she could play this one by herself. Because I'll admit, I could do some of the first challenges on the cards, but by challenge #34, I was totally lost! That's alright - you should see me trying to help her with her homework, her 1st grade homework!
Here is our two-headed llama/giraffe. (Well, you can't say we lack imagination...)
Overall, I was impressed with the high-quality of this game. And that you can go free-style and just make your own creations!
This makes an awesome S.T.E.M. gift. Need more ideas? Here are some top picks!
