I love the look of burlap. It's such an easy way to add a rustic look to any craft. Like, oh, this turkey, for instance.
Supplies:
- Burlap
- Large googly eyes
- Construction paper (various colors, including red and orange)
- Glue dots
- Scissors

Start by cutting out your turkey shape. (If it helps, it's also the shape of a peanut!) Next use orange construction paper for the beak and the beat and cut out the snood using red construction paper.
For the next step you'll need a hand. As in, a hand to trace. For the easiest method, put five pieces of construction on top of each other and cut them all at the same time. Must quicker than doing it individually!
All that's left now if assembly. Preschoolers can do this part themselves. We used Glue Dots because...no mess! If you haven't tried them before and messiness drives you crazy, you have no idea what you've been missing.
Put your turkey together, give him a name (completely optional but so much fun....Terrence Turkey? Mr. Gobbles?) and he's ready to adorn the nearest wall!
Leave your best turkey name in the comments!
