So...this is what it's like trying to do crafts with a child who has the attention span of a gnat?
When Kay gets home from school, she's not usually in the mood for a nice, quiet craft session. That's fine. But I wanted to work on these bags and she was eager to help.
For 2 minutes. Tops.
It's went something like, "That looks like Mike from Monsters, Inc...I'm going to make one like that...Are there anymore green bags?...I'm Mike Wazowskii!...Do we have the movie?" And off she went to check. And that was the end of her participation.
Oh, well. Back to the bags. Aren't they just the cutest?!

Oh, well. Back to the bags. Aren't they just the cutest?!
Supplies:
- Cardstock
- Colorful treat bags
- Black Sharpie
- Scissors
Oriental Trading supplied us with cardstock and the colorful treat bags to spark our creativity! All opinions are still my own.
I love making monsters, because imperfection is not only acceptable, it's encouraged. Every misshaped body part, every asymmetrical eye just adds to the character! For these bags, I went with just one rule in mind - make them silly!
The only thing that takes some time is cutting out the shapes from cardstock. I went around the house finding random circle-shaped things I could trace to make the eyes and the spots. I used a Sharpie to color in the pupils.
And the curly tongues are made simply by winding a strip of cardstock around your finger.
For something so easy, these came out adorable! (If I may say so myself...!)
