We have a good amount of craft supplies; enough so that when I'm looking for something I can't seem to find it amongst the pile! But I hate to go out and buy storage containers just to put craft supplies in them, especially knowing that the containers are likely to get paint/glue/glitter, etc. on them anyway.
So, we'll just use what we already have!
I'm a hoarder of potentially-useful recyclables (only in the past 5 years or so; what is it, a mother thing?). And when I decided to use containers for organizing I kept an eye out for good ones and saved those, too.
(P.S. The chalkboard labels we got courtesy of Kidecals; the bad handwriting is all my own!)
With some Washi tape or duct tape, it's even easy to pretty up the containers so that functional is also fashionable. Check out some other ideas I found for storing all those craft supplies...(best of all, most of them are upcycled - you're organizing and helping the earth...you just rock!)

Washi-taped tin cans | The Crafted Sparrow
Infarrantly Creative used Ziploc bags and sticky back hooks to keep track of game pieces. I think this is a great idea for craft supplies too!
