I wanted to title this "Marble Runs for Dummies" or something similar, but didn't want to be unintentionally insulting. Of course, the insult really goes to me. I love the super-simple, no creativity or talent required things - probably because of my lack of creativity or talent! Fortunately, I've found that simple works best, so it's all to the good!

Anyway, I posted previously about our pool noodle marble run and it was easy, but on a recent trip to the dollar store, I picked up another noodle, planning to chop it up to use for blocks or stamping. Well Kay took it into her own hands to decide what to do with, and she wanted to slide her marbles through the hole going down the middle. (Have I mentioned she's been a bit obsessed with marbles lately?!)

The mattress was off her bed because we were cleaning things up and moving stuff around, so she took the opportunity to use her bed frame (with conveniently raised edges to catch any stray marbles) for her activity. She slide them down, totally entertained. I was just happy she was occupied. I didn't think she'd like not being able to see the marbles as they went down but, nope, not bothered at all. Somewhere along the line I was asked to hold the noodle while she loaded up the marbles, and that continues to be my job whenever she plays (everyday since, so far). But if the extent of my involvement is holding a pool noodle steady, I think I can handle that. (I think!)
