It's cardboard tube month forProject: Recycle & Create, and I thought it would be fun to make something along the lines of a bird/owl-type thing. (Not to mention that we have an abundance of feathers.)
I found some adorable versions online, including from Naturally Educational and Silly Eagle Books that inspired me to give it a try.
And that's what I had in mind when I set up this invitation to create. Googly eyes, feathers, glue, cardboard tubes? Check!

The one we worked on together came out looking like a Mardi Gras-themed little owl - colorful feathers galore!
And of course my googly-eyes fan did her own interpretation of a "monster owl". (We got these ones from CraftProjectIdeas.com. A special thank you to them, because we go through googly eyes pretty quick in this house. Can you tell?)
