Disclosure: We received the 50's outfit from the Hip Hop 50's Shop in exchange for an honest opinion about it. All opinions are my own (and my daughter's!)
Kay is relatively late to the dress-up stage. It wasn't until she was 4 1/2 (seems like just last week...oh, wait, it was!) that she became really interested in twirly dresses and cowgirl hats and all that fun stuff. So one morning when we were stuck in the house, I thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot. Mama could play around with her new camera, Kay could model her own fashions and pose in front of the mirror - win-win!
After explaining what a photo shoot is, she was all in. We recently receieved a fun poodle skirt outfit from the Hip Hop 50's Shop to review, so that was the first garment of the day. I helped her get dressed, not being able to help "ahhh"-ing about how adorable she looked.
"You look just like a 50s girl!" I exclaimed, met with by a blank look.

There was only one thing she was interested in - twirliness. I suggested this would be a great skirt for doing the spins and pirouettes she loves so much. Testing it right away, she saw the skirt fan out around her and was thrilled. She whirled around the house, loving especially to do it in front of the mirror brought out just for this occasion.
Twirliness factor: a definite 10!
I had lay her dress-up basket nearby, added a few extra accessories, but surprisingly she only changed into one more outfit after the poodle skirt and that was - pajamas. All that wheeling around must have been exhausting!

My opinion wrap-up: TheHip Hop 50's Shop offers quality and adorable poodle skirts for children and adults. I was surprised at how affordable they were - I expected the price to be much higher for the product I received. For kids (and adults!), they're great for sock hops or just playing dress-up.
