It's winter - what the heck are you going to do with that plastic baby pool? Oh, sure, you could store it in the garage or shed or even trash it and get a new one next summer. But why not give it new life by using it for indoor play while you're stuck in the house? How about these ideas:
*Put some soft pillows inside and a few books nearby and you have yourself a nice little reading nook for your child. {Munchkin and Bean}
*It can be a great way to contain messy sensory play, painting or play dough - basically anything you would rather stayed in one easy-to-clean area rather than on your floor and walls!

*Creekside Learning made a giant bird nest. I love all the details she included - and she adds some book suggestions too.
*They make perfect ball pits too! {Child Central Station}
*This brave momma at My Spirited Adventure let her kids use shaving cream in - and out - of the pool! Good thing shaving cream is easy to clean!
*Fill it with a little water - my grandmother used to do this for me and I thought it was so cool to play in the pool in the house!

*This cool indoor sandbox from Creekside Learning would be a big hit at my house!
*Everyday Homeschool Adventures brought snow inside on a cold winter day and put it in the pool!

*Fun-A-Day turned an inflatable pool into a "cutting pool". Kids get the novelty of sitting in a pool and also it's a great way for containing all the scraps of paper that inevitably fall while kids practice their cutting skills!
*Or...bring it inside and do nothing but leave it out...your kids will come up with their own ideas for it!
What do you do with your kiddie pool in the winter - store it or use it?
