Toilet Paper Roll Turkey Utensil Holder

  I would love to be able to take the credit for coming up with this, but it was the creative minds behind Sugar Aunts that deserve the props. These napkin rings are easy and cute too.



We used:   Cardboard tubes (toilet paper rolls)
                 Pipe cleaners (ours came from our friends at CraftProjectIdeas.com, 
                                       available at Walmart)   
                 Googly eyes (also from CraftProjectIdeas.com) 
                 Orange construction paper triangle for a beak
                 Glue 
                 Hole punch 

  The hardest part was punching the holes through the toilet paper roll. I guess I never realized how thick these things are! So I did that part, while Kay was able to help with the rest. This is a fun way to add in some fine motor practice: squeezing the glue, pushing in the pipe cleaners for feathers, all great for little hand muscles!

  Truth be told, I ended up finishing these by myself. Kay got interested in cutting the pipe cleaners and forgot all about toilet paper roll turkeys! But I didn't mind. These are going to look adorable on the table for Thanksgiving. Thank you for the fun idea, Sugar Aunts!
